Orchestra AI Assistant

The Orchestra AI Assistant is one of the modules introduced as part of the new 5.0 service environment in addition to the Web Designer, Solution Hub, Bridge, etc. Currently, it is seamlessly integrated in the Web Designer.

Purpose & design direction

The purpose of the assistant is to support and speed up various tasks in the scenario lifecycle including development and deployment by complementing the low-code design paradigm.

Low-code design still represents a reliable way to enable business users by allowing the use of abstracting technical implementation details through well-tested, configurable components and keeping an overview of complex processes through graphical visualization. On top of that, ai-guided design can lower the threshold for new users even further by requiring no (or at least less) knowledge about the low-code design environment by means of a natural language user interface. Also experienced users can profit from the assistant through increased productivity, as they are often faced with tasks, that can be formulated easily in a textual prompt, but would require a lot of manual labour for a scenario developer.

Internal design & capabilities

The assistant is engineered to support a list of predefined command types, which are chosen and parametrized according to a text prompt provided by the user in the chat window.

The assistant supports several command types, for example:

  • Generation of process model templates (sequential, not fully-configured process models)
  • Generation of message mapping (Extended Java mapping)
  • And much more in the future

Our service currently supports multiple languages for requests while responding in English at the moment. We are continuously working on improvements and have plans to enhance our flexibility in the future. This includes incorporating chat history to provide you with a more personalized experience.

While the assistant is designed to generate the best solutions possible, it cannot be guaranteed that it will always generate a correct response, as there can always be misunderstandings due to hallucinations by the model or unclear task descriptions by the user. The assistant should be considered a productivity tool used by a scenario developer, but the scenario developer always needs to review and potentially correct the proposed solution.

Installation

The complete documentation and installation instructions are included in the assistant's release package. If you'd like to try the assistant, please don't hesitate to contact our team. We're happy to assist you!
